Captain Mike Muse

Capt. Mike Muse is a full time Captain, holding a USCG Master Captain License and has built a successful business running more than 200 trips a year — all year around when weather permits. He has fished the waters of the Outer Banks of North Carolina for over 30 years–almost 20 years as a Charter Boat Captain. He has also fished professionally in the Florida Keys and in his spare time gained experience fishing in SC, the Chesapeake Bay area as well as Mexico and throughout the Caribbean. All of this adds to his expertise of the water and different fishing techniques.

His specialty has always been Family Friendly trips that are near the shore. This includes fishing the deep waters up to a few miles out in the Ocean as well as the calmer areas of the Inlet and the Backwaters of our sounds. His trips are tailored to adults and children alike and he knows how to keep kids interested and occupied. He has had lots of practice in this area having two children of his own!

His specialty is the Near Shore fish including, Spanish Mackerel, Sharks, Blue Fish, Gray and Speckled Trout, Red Drum, Black Drum, Flounder, King Mackerel, Sheeps Head, Spots, Croaker, Sea Mullet, Sound Stripers, Cobia and when they are here in the winter – the big ocean stripers.
